El Programa de Medicamentos Esenciales y Central de Apoyo Log\u00edstico (PROMESE\/CAL), invirti\u00f3 entre el 2021 y lo que va de a\u00f1o, 37 millones, 810 mil, 960 pesos para suplir el tratamiento a menores de edad con hemofilia, condici\u00f3n que impide la coagulaci\u00f3n de la sangre.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el director de PROMESE\/CAL, Adolfo P\u00e9rez, la cobertura se realiz\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s Programa de Medicamentos para Hemofilia e Inhibidores (PROMHEFILIA), que beneficia a pacientes de escasos recursos que todav\u00eda no cuentan con cobertura de seguro social.<\/p>\n

\u201cCada 17 de abril el mundo conmemora el D\u00eda Mundial de la Hemofilia y nosotros queremos aprovechar la ocasi\u00f3n para destacar la gran labor que, bajo la instrucci\u00f3n del presidente Luis Abinader, realizamos desde PROMESE\/CAL\u201d, precis\u00f3 P\u00e9rez.<\/p>\n

De su lado, el subdirector y encargado de los programas sociales de PROMESE\/CAL, Luis Lizardo, explic\u00f3 que el PROMHEFILIA est\u00e1 dirigido a pacientes hasta los 17 a\u00f1os que han desarrollado inhibidores al Factor VIII.<\/p>\n

\u201cPara beneficiarse del programa solo tienen que dirigirse a las unidades hemato-oncolog\u00eda de los hospitales pedi\u00e1tricos Robert Reid Cabral en Santo Domingo y el Regional Universitario Arturo Grull\u00f3n en Santiago, quienes eval\u00faan cada caso y suministran los medicamentos a los pacientes\u201d, puntualiz\u00f3 Lizardo.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, Lizardo detall\u00f3 que la medicaci\u00f3n que se suministra tiene como finalidad disminuir la ocurrencia de hemorragias y sus secuelas para mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes hemof\u00edlicos que desarrollan inhibidores.<\/p>\n

La hemofilia es una enfermedad hereditaria que afecta la coagulaci\u00f3n. Esto puede ocasionar hemorragias espont\u00e1neas, despu\u00e9s de una operaci\u00f3n o de una lesi\u00f3n. Es un trastorno poco frecuente, se estima que 1 de cada 10 mil personas nace con \u00e9l.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
