Al conmemorarse cada 17 de mayo el D\u00eda Mundial de la Hipertensi\u00f3n, el Programa de Enfermedades Cr\u00f3nicas y el de Prevenci\u00f3n de Lesiones y Violencia -PRELVI- del \u00c1rea VI de Salud, realizaron un operativo de prevenci\u00f3n de hipertensi\u00f3n a choferes del transporte urbano y a pasajeros que usan esa ruta de la avenida Lope de Vega del ensanche La Fe esta capital.El mismo fue encabezado por la doctora Indhira Rivas, coordinadora del Departamento de Enfermedades Cr\u00f3nicas, quien explic\u00f3:<\/p>\n

\"\"La hipertensi\u00f3n arterial por lo regular no manifiesta s\u00edntomas, por lo que es importante su monitoreo, tomando en consideraci\u00f3n el agitado ritmo de vida que llevamos, tomen mucha agua, coman frutas, reduzcan el aceite y la sal en los alimentos, realicen ejercicios.<\/p>\n

La jornada cont\u00f3 con toma de presi\u00f3n arterial a los trabajadores del volante, a pasajeros y transe\u00fantes, adem\u00e1s se entregaron folletos educativos para el cuidado de la salud.<\/p>\n

La doctora Rivas estuvo acompa\u00f1ada por sus colegas Anny Brito, Yuridia Adames y tambi\u00e9n las licenciadas Guadalupe Sandoval y Mar\u00eda Jim\u00e9nez.<\/p>\n

Durante el desarrollo del operativo la doctora Brito aprovech\u00f3 el momento para orientar a los conductores acerca de la importancia de conducir con precauci\u00f3n, hizo entrega de material educativo para la obediencia a las se\u00f1ales de tr\u00e1fico, habl\u00f3 del respeto que debe existir entre los conductores y pasajeros para la prevenci\u00f3n de accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito y hechos violentos.<\/p>\n
